On the beaches of Quistreham the inhabitants played an elegant game of kites. We could not follow the rules, whether the aim was to cut off the others or to synhronise the flights, but the magestic swirling of a flock of kites was simply breathe-taking.
Also in Quistreham, we met a friendly Moroccan couple who fed Hayden his first taste of mussels. He eagerly slurped them down whole, and probably ended up eating twenty in a role. A good sign that we are raising a little Belgian boy!
